Benjamin Statnik
Founder and CEO
Benjamin started his career with an apprenticeship as an industrial electronics engineer. Before moving to the photovoltaics sector, he was a project manager responsible for the commissioning and maintenance of industrial plants (projects in Germany, Asia and North Africa). From 2007 he looked after 5kWp – 1MW roof systems as a project planner and from 2009 he began with the planning, construction management and maintenance of solar power plants and open spaces. In 2011 he founded BLUE SUN Energy Service GmbH.
With three locations, nine employees and 17 service partners, BLUE SUN is an experienced service company for technical management and maintenance from a single source. Benjamin founded Blueray Services GmbH together with Karsten Klug in 2019.
Karsten Klug
Founder and CEO
Karsten (Dipl. Kfm.) has been working in the solar industry for more than 15 years. As Senior Manager O&M at the former world market leader Q.Cells, he was responsible for the operational management of solar power plants with more than 330 MW worldwide. Since 2012 he has managed the O&M area of the saferay group with more than 300 MW in Germany, Japan and Chile and a team of more than 20 engineers and technicians.
In 2019 he founded the company Blueray Services GmbH together with Benjamin Statnik.
In 2021 he founded Saferay Services KK, an O&M provider for large solar power plants in Japan.
Waldemar Langner
Service Coordinator
Waldemar (state-certified technician) began his career in the electrical industry in 1982 as an electronics technician for automation technology, safety technology and system tests. In his 8 years in the solar industry, Waldemar initially worked as a test technician in the adaptation center for Xantrex large inverters of the GT series. From 2013, as technical coordinator in the Schneider Electric Solar Field Service Team Germany, he looked after the installed solar central inverter base from Schneider Electric.
As an inverter expert, Waldemar has been the technical coordinator at Blueray Services GmbH since 2019 and is responsible for remote support and the management/support of maintenance and service assignments.
Thorsten Hugo
Field Service Engineer
Thorsten has been working in the electrical industry with great passion since 1986. Initially as an electromechanic in the development and testing of electronic circuits and circuit boards, as well as in commissioning and as a site manager for printing machines, later as a technician in the drive technology and control area and in customer service.
From 2014 Thorsten worked as a Field Service Engineer in the Motion & Drives, Photovoltaics department at Schneider Electric. There he was responsible for the commissioning, service and maintenance of frequency converters, central solar inverters and industrial plants. In this function, Thorsten has already been able to repair and commission a large number of solar central inverters worldwide, for example at the Ben Ban PV power plant in Egypt or several power plants in northern Germany.
As an inverter expert and field service engineer, Thorsten has been on board at Blueray since the beginning of 2020 and takes care of the maintenance and rapid repairs of solar central inverters.
Konstantin Santikos
Director Sales
Konstantin (MSc., MBA) is no stranger to the solar industry. After joining the leading manufacturer Q.Cells in 2007 he spent almost a decade working on international strategy projects (Malaysia fab, restructuring) and collecting Sales experience. Most notably he set up a Sales network in the South East Mediterranean region and led the expansion of PV module Sales channels in several new markets across Europe and Asia for both Q.Cells and later Canadian Solar.
In the last years Konstantin co-founded a successful educational startup in Berlin which has now become one of the largest language schools & examination centers for German as a foreign language with locations in Berlin, Hamburg & Munich.
Coming back to the solar business in 2023 he has now joined hands with the Blueray team in an effort to create a leading service provider for specialized PV inverters & battery storage maintenance in Germany and abroad.
